BLANK PAGE is a space for brainstorming new ideas and concepts around a familiar subject open to interpretation. In every issue we propose a new theme, and you send us your perspective on it. The selected works – the ones that we feel best fits the challenge – will be featured in the BLANK PAGE section of Rattapallax Magazine in the subsequent issue. Submissions to the BLANK PAGE section of Rattapallax Magazine are currently open.
Works must be previously unpublished, in print or online.
Poetry: up to 4 poems (send in one .doc file)
Short Stories: 1 short story or novel excerpt (up to 2000 words)
Non-Fiction: 1 piece of creative nonfiction (up to 2000 words)
Film/Animation: 1 short film up to 5 minutes (email link and password to info @ rattapallax.com)
Photography/ Art: up to 4 images (sent in high resolution)
A postage fee applies: USD $2.

To the Dreamers: As artists in this ever changing world, we have chosen to share our voices and ideas through words, music, and images; “We are the music-makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams. World-losers and world-forsakers, Upon whom the pale moon gleams; Yet we are the movers and shakers, Of the world forever, it seems.” We have nothing, know nothing, nothing happens unless first a dream. When we dream alone, eyes shut, sleeping, the dream is at first an illusion. But, it is when we dream together, as artists and writers, awake and out loud, sharing the dreaming, that we can make a change in our reality.
